The African Special Rapporteur on Freedom of Expression and Access to Information, Commissioner Ourveena Geereesha Topsy-Sonoo, with the help of the African Alliance on Access to Data, has begun consultations on the implementation of ACHPR Resolution 620 on access to data.
The resolution focuses on promoting and harnessing data access as a tool for advancing human rights and sustainable development in the digital age. Consultations are happening via various continental conferences and fora.
